Patient Experience Week - How did you celebrate?

Overview Resources Webinars Celebrate PX Store

How are you celebrating Patient Experience Week?

Share with the global patient experience community how you celebrated this special week. Be sure to use #pxweek and tag The Beryl Institute in your social media posts so we can share your celebrations, events, ideas and photos with the community.

While Patient Experience Week 2020 was officially recognized April 27 - May 1, we understand the current healthcare pandemic prevented some from celebrating at that time. We encourage you to choose the most appropriate time for your organization to recognize PX Week. Our ultimate hope is that it provides a focused time for you to celebrate accomplishments, re-energize efforts and honor the people who impact patient experience everyday. The resources available through our website are accessible year-round to offer ideas and inspiration to support planning when you are ready. We look forward to seeing your contributions!

Mass General News shared what their team is doing to stand strong together and promote patient experience within their organization during this time of healthcare crisis. "As part of #PXWeek the #MGH Office of Patient Experience has been sharing kind words from grateful patients and delivering them on cards alongside a multitude of food donations to our staff."

Garrett A. South shared his 'why' for going into healthcare. "Why healthcare? Having a mom who is also a nurse - taught me the impact care and compassion has on others. Today's #pxweek goes out to the superheroes amongst us - the mothers of healthcare."

RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Center shared their definition of patient experience. Click here to view video of Jessica Alpert, Community Outreach Coordinator explaining their definition of patient experience. https://www.facebook.com/RWJBarnabasBehavioralHealth/videos/253355909375830/

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance shared a colleague who promotes an outstanding culture of patient experience. "I am the patient experience. It is PX Week and we are recognizing all of our staff who make an impact on the patient and family experience. From nurses and physicians, to facilities laboratories and diagnostics - we ALL play a role in the patient experience."

Maxine Legall, MBA, MSW, with Mount Sinai Morningside, shared how their organization is supporting staff, patients and families with a video she created to commemorate #PXWEEK2020.
