WHAT IS YOUR MOST SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT IN YOUR ROLE?
I am brand new in this role! I am most excited about a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Central California we are building that will create a new flagship clinic that will offer diverse services for the whole life spectrum of a patient with a key focus on the patient’s experience in the design of the building.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YOU ARE CURRENTLY FACING?
The biggest challenge is developing the organizational culture of placing the patient experience at the forefront of our activities and thoughts.
WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON THE FUTURE OF PATIENT EXPERIENCE?
For the future of the patient experience we must ensure that we focus on the human elements of the patient experience while we utilize technology as a tool to accomplish that. We also need to be vigilant in seeing that our staff reflects the communities we serve in all facets.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN WHEN NOT WORKING?
I enjoy camping, hiking and anything with my wife and five little girls.
WHY DID YOU JOIN THE BERYL INSTITUTE?
We are an institutional member and made that decision after having attended the PX Conference in 2014. We want to not only be a part of the PX discussion but also be a leader of the PX movement. Being a member of the Beryl Institute allows us to do that.
