The Institute's Professional Development offerings shape the evolving field of patient experience and support the consistent and continuous development of Patient Experience Professionals through education, programs and professional development opportunities.

Guiding and influencing the offerings is the Patient Experience Body of Knowledge, a framework developed by The Beryl Institute community to identify the knowledge central to the role of the patient experience leader. Almost 400 individuals from 10 countries contributed to the development of the body of knowledge resulting in a broadly accepted set of 15 domains and associated skills reflecting the core accountabilities associated with being an effective patient experience leader.
