Diagnosing the Patient Experience

Personal experience matters more to consumers in selecting their healthcare providers than in choosing a retailer, hotel, health insurer or airline, according to Consumer Experience in Healthcare: The Moment of Truth, a PwC sur­vey of 6,000 customers across nearly a dozen industries. Seventy-two percent of respon­dents shared chat provider rep­utation and personal experience were their top driv­ers for selecting a provider, more so than cost. Meanwhile, the attitude of healthcare staff members defines six out of 10 healthcare experiences, accord­ing to the survey.
