Brief Bio:

Mary is known as an innovator, creator and gifted facilitator. Mary lives the kind of leadership and relationships that she teaches, and she has a unique ability to explain the work of caring for others with language that clarifies and deepens meaning. As a keynote speaker, Mary models the concepts she presents as she creates an intimate connection with every member of even the largest audiences.

Relevant Credentials:

Mary’s career spans more than 40 years and includes experience as a staff nurse in oncology and labor and delivery, clinical manager, and administrator for a patient care division. She served as co-chair of an ethics committee in a large tertiary center for ten years. She has her BSN from Mary-Hardin Baylor University in Temple, Texas, and her MS in nursing administration from the University of Minnesota. She is the co-author of See Me as a Person with Michael Trout and the editor of Relationship-Based Care: A Model for Transforming Practice and Relationship-Based Care Field Guide. Mary has been a consultant in health care since 2000, and was named CEO of Creative Health Care Management in 2015.
