Kathy Torpie is a Registered New Zealand psychologist and long term multi trauma patient with experience at most levels of healthcare. As a professional healthcare speaker with global speaking experience, she offers a unique perspective of healthcare based on both personal and professional experience. She authored of Losing Face, A Memoir of Lost Identity and Self Discovery, about her medical and personal journey of recovery following a major multi trauma accident, a chapter on patient safety issues in Learning from Patient Stories: A Book of Case Studies and an article in the Patient Experience Journal.
