Karen D. DeCuir-DiNicola graduated with honors from U of M with a degree in English and Psychology and a Master’s Degree from University of Detroit Mercy in Clinical Psychology. As a two time cancer survivor, Karen is familiar with the challenges involved in waiting. This experience provided early training as a waiting experience expert. After a 25-year corporate career as an executive at a Fortune 100 company, she founded WaitWell, a company committed to forever transform the experience of waiting.
The passion she exudes for improving the waiting experience provides a great backdrop for her entertaining, engaging, motivational keynotes and educational breakout sessions. Karen brings her experience to bear in the area of waiting, inside and outside of the healthcare environment; recommending it as an untapped patient experience, patient and family centered care improvement tool and an important ingredient for patient healing and long term physician/patient relationships.
