Brief Bio:

Kristin brings over 35 years experience to the platform sharing her wit and wisdom gained through years as an RN, hospital executive, and as a nationally recognized thought leader on the patient experience. As a consultant, she has worked with hospitals, health systems, medical groups and long term care facilities all over the country helping them to understand and improve the patient experience. Kristin has written hundreds of articles on culture, patient experience and leadership. She is an active blogger and the author of several books and white papers. She’s a woman on a mission to make healthcare better for patients and the people who serve them. Prior to forming the Baird Group, Kristin was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Watertown Area Health Services. Prior to that she held marketing and clinical positions at several hospitals including public health. Her combined clinical and marketing background gives her great insight into the patient experience from all angles.

With over thirty five years of experience in patient care, healthcare marketing, business development, and administration, Kristin has been there and done that. Her clinical and executive experience gives her instant credibility whether she’s speaking to a room of front line staff or hospital CEOs. Kristin is passionate about service excellence. President of the Baird Group, she leads a team of experts in assessment, planning and execution of targeted patient experience improvement plans. Kristin has developed a unique model for culture assessment and medical mystery shopping that sheds light on an organization’s current reality. Her model for accountability and service (Baird Model) is a results-oriented approach to transforming culture and shaping the patient experience. Kristin earned a bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a masters in Health Services Administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI.
