The Patient Advocacy Community (PAC) Work Groups help support the work and provide direction for the Patient Advocacy Community of The Beryl Institute. The PAC is your connection to other professionals who represent and advocate for consumers across the healthcare continuum.

The PAC Work Groups include:

Advocacy
Develop and implement system for monitoring and communicating regulatory changes/updates as it relates to patient advocacy. Identify opportunities for involvement at the national legislative level as it relates to patient advocacy.

Awards and Nominations
Create streamlined PAC Award platform; Create process for identification, inclusion of top performers into succession plan in the PAC realm.

Certification
Develop certification for the PAC, as a part of the overall PX certification

Collaboration
Explore relationships/partnerships with groups/organizations who are interested in Patient Advocacy, to incorporate them into The Beryl Institute community

Conference
Develop patient advocacy education track for annual Beryl Institute. Recruit members attending to "man” the PAC table.

Education
Develop patient advocacy education opportunities e.g., virtual conferences, topic calls, white papers. Monitors listserv to identify topic trends.

Membership
Develop strategies to recruit and retain PAC members.

Publications
Recommend and assist in developing patient advocacy publications.

Regional Communities
Develop toolkit that enhances value of regional groups; share best practices; support struggling areas
