Monday, June 24, 2013
William Osler Health System (Osler) staff, physicians, volunteers, dignitaries, local health care leaders and members of the community gathered at Brampton Civic Hospital to celebrate a remarkable year and the launch of Osler's new 2013-2018 Strategic Plan.
Osler's new 2013-2018 Strategic Plan was developed after months of staff and community consultation. The organization also refreshed its Vision and Mission to better reflect its bold new strategic directions.
"Through informed decisions and deliberate choices, we will shift traditional thinking about how patients receive care in their local community,” said Neil Davis, Vice Chair, William Osler Health System Board of Directors. "Guided by our four new Strategic Directions over the next five years, Osler has an unprecedented opportunity to be on the leading edge of health care delivery – in this province, and beyond.
Osler's Strategic Plan launch event featured a guest speaker, Jason A. Wolf, PhD, President of The Beryl Institute – a global community of leading practice and thought leadership on improving the patient experience. Jason toured both Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General Hospitals prior to the event, and observed the work Osler is undertaking in enhancing the patient experience.
