The Institute's Professional Development offerings shape the emerging field of patient experience and support the consistent and continuous development of Patient Experience Professionals through education, programs and professional development opportunities.

Guiding and influencing the offerings is the Patient Experience Body of Knowledge, a framework developed by The Beryl Institute community to identify the knowledge central to the role of the patient experience leader. Almost 400 individuals from 10 countries contributed to the development of the body of knowledge resulting in a broadly accepted set of 15 domains and associated skills reflecting the core accountabilities associated with being an effective patient experience leader.

CPXP Certification

Offered through The Beryl Institute’s sister organization, Patient Experience Institute, achievement of Certified Patient Experience Professional Certification highlights a commitment to the profession and to maintain skills and knowledge in supporting and expanding the field of PX.

Continuing Education:

Patient Experience Education Credits (PXE's) are offered for many of the programs listed above through the Patient Experience Institute, a sister organization of The Beryl Institute. In support of the patient experience professional as a new and emerging field of practice, Patient Experience Institute offers accreditation for learning, teaching and service events and activities that are focused on the patient experience.
